“Our mission is to provide quality customer service to the citizens of Platte County while being trustworthy stewards of public funds. The Office of the Platte County Collector of Revenue is responsible for the collection and distribution of property taxes in Platte County, Missouri.  This office works alongside the Platte County Assessor, whose office is responsible for determining the assessed value of all personal or real property owned in Platte County on January 1st of each year.  The Assessor's valuations are provided to the County Clerk, who calculates the annual Tax Book using levies approved by the citizens of Platte County. Tax Information

Failure to receive a tax statement does not relieve the taxpayer's obligation to pay taxes and any penalty and interest that may apply.

  • Tax statements are mailed in November of each year. If you did not receive your tax statement(s) by the end of November, please call our office immediately.
  • Please inspect your statement(s) to verify that mailing address, vehicles and legal descriptions are correct. If there is an error please contact the Platte County Assessor's Office.
  • All tax statements are due upon receipt and become delinquent after December 31st.
  • To avoid penalty and interest, be sure your payment is USPS Postmarked no later than December 31st. Payments postmarked after December 31st will be returned unprocessed unless penalty and interest are included.
  • Failure to receive a tax statement does not relieve the taxpayer’s obligation to pay taxes and any penalty and interest that may apply.
  • Payments can be made in person, by mail, online at this website, by telephone (there is a 1-800 number on your bill) or at our 24-hour drop box which is located just outside the entrance to the Platte County Government Complex. In office payments may be made with cash, personal check, cashiers check, money order or credit/debit card.
  • Technical difficulties with phone or online payments do not extend the statutory deadline to pay without late payment penalties and interest.
